Perth, Australia-based ad agency Marketforce has appointed Alice Manners, until recently CEO of the country's IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau), as its new Chief Digital Officer.Manners led the IAB for three years, overseeing the expansion of its member base and the creation of a number of industry councils, according to www.mumbrella.com.au . Her departure in May - to be replaced by former Southern Cross Austereo Chief Digital Officer Vijay Solanki - continues a period of rapid change at the top for the organisation: in November, IAB Australia's Director of Research Lisa Walsh announced her departure just six months after replacing Gai Le Roy.
Manners previously spent eight years as COO Interaction at WPP's GroupM Asia Pacific, after shorter spells as MD of mOne Asia Pacific, Head of Interaction at mDigital in Singapore and Regional Director of Organic.
Marketforce CEO John Driscoll says the creation of the new role reflects the changing needs of the agency and its clients, 'in line with a worldwide trend to provide a seamless integration of traditional and digital media planning, with strategic and consumer planning - all linked with campaign based creative solutions'.
