In London, GfK has hired former Kantar Worldpanel exec Imran Choudhary for a newly created role, Key Account Director, Technology.Choudhary (pictured) joins after nearly a decade at Kantar, latterly as Consumer Insight Director and Head of the telecoms purchasing and usage trend analysis division, Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. He joined the firm in 2007 as a Category Analyst for the Kantar Worldpanel Fashion service, and moved to the ComTech division in 2009.
In his new role, Choudhary will tap into his experience of researching the mobile, tablet, fixed telephony, broadband, pay TV and wearables markets. He will work alongside Head of Technology Ranjiv Dale, who comments: 'GfK has an unrivalled depth and breadth of primary data and market expertise in the technology space. Imran will use his client expertise and industry knowledge to help us ensure our solutions and advice meet and exceed the needs of this constantly evolving market'.
