In Germany, Kantar TNS veteran Peter Pirner has added the role of Head of Digital to his existing role as Practice Head, Customer Strategies. He replaces Dirk Steffen, who has taken up the role of Global Account Director for Google, at Kantar in Silicon Valley.Pirner (pictured) joined TNS Infratest in 1997 as Key Account Manager, Finance, before becoming Head of the Automotive business unit. He later moved on to the role of Global Senior Director of TNS Customer Strategies, before becoming Practice Head.
In his new role, Pirner will lead the Digital practice across Germany, while serving as a member of the TNS Infratest Board and TNS and Kantar Global Leadership team. Steffen joined the firm in 2008 as Director for its New Interactive Center (NICe), and has since served in senior roles at TNS Infratest, leading the initiative to integrate it with TNS Emnid, and helping develop a number of research methodologies.
