Research software firms MARSC and MI Pro have announced a merger, forming QuenchTec. The new company promises 'next generation insight tools' to give researchers more agile and automated insight processes.
QuenchTec's solutions allow users to manage the entire research process, and to cut the length of studies using automation. The company will have headquarters are in London, with additional offices in Surrey, Oslo and Malmö, and will be led by Dietmar Walter as Chairman, and Allan Shaw as CEO. Walter's experience includes time at Gartner and GMI, and most recently as CEO at media analysis and business intelligence firm Commetric; while Shaw has been MD at MARSC for a year, having earlier worked in Sales and Bus Dev roles for Cint, Cobalt Sky and in a prior spell at MARSC.
Per Jacobsen, founder and President of MI Pro and Jonathan Richards, founder and Chairman of MARSC, join Walter on the Board, while the exec team also includes CFO and Chief Admin Officer Pål Sesseng, CTO Bjørn Grønli and COO Mark Van Walwyk.
Shaw says of the merger: 'We are building our new applications on top of the great technology platforms both companies have developed over the years. We are doing so by encoding the deep tech and research domain expertise of our people into powerful and easy to use applications. QuenchTec will enable marketers to conduct research at the speed of the business, to focus on generating insights that shape business decisions, not wasting time and efforts on processes'.
