In London, full service researcher BDRC has appointed Andrew Lea as Experience Design Director, to launch and lead its new Digital User Experience (UX) and Usability division.BDRC works in sectors including hotels, banking, media, transport, travel and tourism. Lea (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience in the research and insight fields. Most recently, he worked for proposition design consultancy Market Gravity as Principal and Head of Innovation Insights and Propositions, providing consumer insights to steer the development of products and services. Before this, he was Global Insight Director at Dyson, Insight Director for BBC Worldwide, and Head of Planning and Insight at Future Publishing. During his career, Lea also held consumer insight roles at Kraft Foods and Unilever, and he was Global Marketing Manager at The Economist.
In his new role, Lea will tap into his qual and quant skills, and his experience of concept development and testing, prototype usability testing, and on-going UX testing. Group CEO Cris Tarrant comments: 'Andrew's experience perfectly complements BDRC's core strengths in insight and research consultancy, enabling us to deliver a seamless brand and customer experience service. This represents a further development of our digital services, complementing other recent investments in data science and user testing'.
