US-based analytics software company Splunk has set up an Australia / New Zealand (ANZ) headquarters in Melbourne.With global headquarters in San Francisco, Splunk offers software to collect, index and harness big data from web sites, apps, servers, networks, sensors and mobile devices. The company has more than 2,700 employees across the US, Canada, France, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
Located in central Melbourne, the new office will house nearly half of Splunk's 75-strong Australian team, with the remainder based in Sydney, Canberra and Perth. CEO Doug Merritt (pictured) comments: 'Setting up our ANZ headquarters in Australia's tech capital will increase our ability to attract clients throughout the region. It places us squarely in an ecosystem with like-minded companies'.
