In the US, user generated content marketing firm Chute has partnered with audience intelligence data company Macromeasures, to offer free audience data and preference reports to clients in the travel and fashion industries.San Francisco-based Chute helps brands and publishers 'tell better stories' using visual media, by finding and organising fan photos and videos at a range of customer touch points, then getting consent and publishing them. In September, the firm launched the Chute Influence solution, which can be used to discover niche interests important to a brand's audience, identify and recommend influencers, and track them to spot trends in general content.
Macromeasures' social media-based PeopleData will now add customer-level insights to Chute's platform, providing a deeper understanding of the different personas and preferences within a brand's consumer base. The firms will also offer free monthly industry-level reports, based on Chute's UGC Brand Trends tool, which enables marketers to search and gather data around the content people create on Instagram.
Ranvir Gujral (pictured), CEO of Chute, says the partnership will give clients 'a clearer picture of who their audience is, what their interests and preferences are, based on what they've shared publicly through social media'.
