In the US, predictive analytics firm automotiveMastermind has appointed George Williams as Chief Data Scientist, while Andrew Gillman joins the team as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.Founded in 2012 and with bases in New York City and San Francisco, the firm helps dealers predict car buying behavior, and automates the creation of targeted consumer communications. Williams joins with twenty years of experience spanning both industry and academia, including leadership roles in mobile computing, security, VR, wearables and IoT. He previously led data science initiatives at several start-ups and technology corporates, including senior roles at Sony, and more recently at Apple. In his new position, Williams will lead the company's Data Science team, and introduce big data analytics techniques.
Gillman spent more than 25 years at Mercedes-Benz USA in various leadership roles, including General Manager of Vehicle Distribution and Logistics, and Northeast Regional General Manager, where he partnered with dealerships in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. He is now tasked with expanding automotiveMastermind's presence in the industry, by adding individual retail stores, dealer groups, and new brands to its dealer partner mix.
Johannes Gnauck, co-CEO and founder, comments: 'Just like so many of our dealer partners have seen fast and tremendous growth when implementing our technology, we have also experienced rapid growth internally, and saw an immediate need to hire at the executive level. The experience both Andrew and George bring to our team - from a dealer perspective and a data analytics perspective - will be invaluable'.
