Inntopia Buys Travel Data Firm DestiMetrics

In North America, leisure travel intelligence specialist DestiMetrics has been acquired by Inntopia, an eCommerce and central reservation provider. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Inntopia's eCommerce platform is used by more than 75 resorts and destinations. The firm acquired hospitality CRM company Ryan Solutions in November, and says the new acquisition continues its building of a full suite of market intelligence reports and analytics for the travel and hospitality industries, integrated with its other commerce and marketing technologies.

Based in Denver, CO and founded in 2004, DestiMetrics supplies lodging metrics and market intelligence for the North American travel and hospitality industries, including forward-looking indicators for tracking industry trends. Originally focused on mountain-based service providers, it has expanded to include beach destinations. Company founder Ralf Garrison will continue to work with the business, and comments: 'We have a close relationship with [Inntopia CEO] Trevor Crist and the Inntopia team, and with Corey Ryan and the Ryan Solutions team. Joining with both companies brings DestiMetrics closer to the core travel data it monitors, empowers users in new ways, and allows DestiMetrics to generate superior market insights'.
