In the US, shopper insights specialist Nielsen Catalina Solutions (NCS) has appointed Nielsen's former MD of Digital Andrew Feigenson as Chief Revenue Officer.
The firm, which was formed in 2009 as a joint venture between Nielsen and Catalina Marketing Corporation, matches Nielsen's media data with Catalina's frequent shopper card data from millions of households. Feigenson (pictured) joins after nearly seven years at Nielsen, where he latterly held P&L responsibility for the digital business, overseeing sales, service and business development. During his tenure, he launched the programmatic business, Digital Ad Ratings, and Nielsen's audience segments, while also spearheading several strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Before this he ran his own consultancy, Digital Dawn, which helped traditional businesses adapt to the digital world; and he held senior level roles at Rave Wireless, InterCall and Rare Medium. Feigenson began his career in management consulting with Accenture and Cap Gemini.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Matt O'Grady said: 'Andrew has a reputation for innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. His experience makes him uniquely positioned for this role with NCS, as digital media transforms every aspect of the industry we serve'.
