Former MediaCom and Primedia Outdoor exec Terry Murphy has joined Nielsen as Director of its Watch business in South Africa.Murphy (pictured) has worked in the US and South Africa in broadcast sales, agency account management and digital measurement. She spent nearly 6 years at Primedia Outdoor, as Executive: Marketing and Marketing Services, and before that was Head of Business Science and Insights and P&G Account Director at MediaCom, where she spent seven years. In the 1990s she was Marketing Services Manager at Oracle Airtime Sales. She is also joint founder of South Africa's OOH Measurement Council (OMC).
In her new role, Murphy will lead the commercial and operational teams responsible for audience measurement, ad intel, software tools and digital ad ratings. Nielsen says her experience and knowledge will enable it to enhance operational excellence, client-focused solutions and client engagement.
