In New York, entertainment, telecoms and media business Altice USA has acquired Audience Partners, which provides data-driven, audience-based digital ad solutions worldwide. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Audience Partners uses data science, programmatic ad buying, and first party databases to target individuals across multiple screens - including PCs, mobile phones, tablets, TV and billboards. Users can target audiences on their digital devices at scale, by connecting off-line mailing list databases with online devices through an IP-to-household matching and privacy platform reaching more than half the broadband homes in the United States. Much of the firm's emphasis has been on voter targeting, for which it won patents in 2014 and 2015 - it also partnered with Time, Inc. in January last year.
Altice USA says the buy will expand its existing TV data service. Chairman and CEO Dexter Goei (pictured) says it aims 'to build the most innovative, data rich, and intelligent advertising platform, offering our advertising and MVPD clients the ability to implement multiscreen addressability and advanced analytics'.
