WPP-owned digital data collection specialist Lightspeed has promoted Caroline Frankum to Chief Executive Officer, replacing David Day who is leaving for a role in the UK Foreign Office. Nick Nyhan becomes Chairman.
Frankum joined as EMEA CEO last Spring, having previously held the same title at brand and comms research specialist Hall & Partners. Before this she was Head of Content Research at BskyB, Head of Planning Research at UKTV, and held senior positions at Fox Kids/Jetix (part of Walt Disney). On 1st April she will replace Day, who joined the firm a decade ago, having previously been Director of Operations at AC Nielsen and MD for NetRatings EMEA. Before this, he spent a number of years with the UK Government Statistical Service.
Nyham takes the Chair while continuing in his role as Chief Digital Officer at Kantar. He joined WPP in 2005, as part of Millward Brown's acquisition of cross-media measurement specialist Dynamic Logic, which he co-founded in 1999.
Kantar CEO Eric Salama comments: 'We have a strong management team at Lightspeed, which will be enhanced by promoting Caroline from within and bringing Nick into the management. They are the kind of digital, client-centric people that we are proud to have leading our brands. Many thanks to David Day for all he did over the years and we wish him well in his new role'.
