The management of mobile survey specialist Lumi Technologies have spun off its virtual AGM (annual general meeting) app into a separate business, with backing from Vespa Capital. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Lumi AGM provides a mobile polling and messaging service for shareholder engagement during annual general meetings. The tool can be used for attendance reports and poll results, with full reports instantly detailing every vote cast and questions asked at the conclusion of the meeting. Based on Lumi's proprietary technology, the app helps registrars or event organisers register delegates, and provide live, secure polling, Q&A management services and reporting.
Commenting on the news, Richard Taylor (pictured), CEO, Lumi Technologies, said: 'Vespa Capital very quickly understood the growth opportunities in front of Lumi and were willing to move very fast as a result. They had a clear empathy for the realities of a business of our size and stage and worked together with us to put together a deal which worked for all parties'.
