In the US, mobile-first research tech company MFour has appointed Rob Chrone as Chief Financial Officer - former CFO Shane Rothenberger moves to the position of Senior Vice President of Finance.MFour uses GPS technology to collect information at what it calls the 'point of emotion'; and has developed the Surveys On The Go app, providing access to an all-mobile panel. The firm's MFourDIY tool taps into a panel of more than one million respondents and allows users to design, program and launch their own surveys. Last year, the company added features to its DIY technology, to enable users to reach their respondents based on the apps they use, the make and model of their smartphones, and other characteristics.
Chrone (pictured) has in-depth experience of M&A and the raising of investment capital. He joins from communications platform TeleSign, where he served as EVP - Corporate Development and Operations. Prior to this, he worked for ad tech company Vantage Media as CFO; and before this, he held senior CFO positions at FrontBridge Technologies and Atlas World Holdings, and was Director of Finance at Dual Drilling.
In a statement, the firm said: 'Rob's arrival at MFour continues the company's rapid growth, which recently has received endorsements from both the private sector ($5m in new funding from Kayne NewRoad Ventures Fund II) and the public sector ($680k in job-creation tax credits from California's state government)'.
