In the US, consumer audience creation and data giant IRI has appointed former dunnhumby exec Nishat Mehta as President of its Media Center of Excellence. He will replace Srishti Gupta, who has moved to a senior position at Amazon.
Mehta (pictured) joins with twenty years' media and personalization experience. Most recently, he led the Customer Communications team at 84.51°, the firm staffed by the former workforce of dunnhumbyUSA, which was a joint venture between retail analytics pioneer dunnhumby and grocery giant The Kroger Co. Before this, he served as 84.51°'s Head of Brand Media, and he was responsible for developing strategic partnerships at dunnhumby, where he led the expansion of the digital media measurement and targeting business.
In his new role, starting next Monday, Mehta will lead a team offering a portfolio of consumer personalization and measurement capabilities, in IRI's media business. He will also work closely with the firm's CPG, retail and media clients to help them use media and promotions to deliver increased return on advertising spending (ROAS) and consumer engagement.
CEO Andrew Appel comments: 'Nishat joins us as we've brought to market truly revolutionary capabilities to bring additional innovations and data assets to our clients. He will play a significant and impactful role in demonstrating our expertise and differentiated media capabilities that drive improved media efficiencies and increase sales'.
