In Hollywood, research and rights management software provider MediaLogiq Systems has hired former Nielsen exec Alexandre Callay for the newly created role of Vice President of Media.MediaLogiq develops media software services for movie-related companies such as studios, distributors, production companies and advertisers. Its software - including the ITVR multi-country, research platform and its MediaRights licensing tool - helps track, manage and sell intellectual property worldwide.
Callay (pictured) joins from Nielsen, where he served as Global Head of Media Products, following the firm's acquisition of sports measurement and intelligence provider Repucom, where he had been Global Director, Media Research and Content. Earlier, he held senior level roles at French audience measurement firm Mediametrie, including Worldwide Director of the TV Worldwide division.
In his new role, Callay will oversee the company's business development efforts internationally, while developing new services built on MediaLogiq's flagship research and rights management solutions. He will also be responsible for directing the firm's worldwide information sourcing initiatives.
