Optimizely, whose software platform helps clients optimise their customer experience, has opened regional headquarters in Sydney, Australia. The office is the company's fifth outside the US, and will be led by homecoming MD Dan Ross (pictured), who has spent the last two decades in the US, according to online publication www.mumbrella.com.au . Ross expects to double the office's initial complement of 'ten or twelve people full-time', in the near future, and says Australia was chosen as the firm's APAC hub because of increasing cross-sector demand for innovation, 'strong organic growth in the market and talent density throughout the region'.
The company was founded by former Google staffers Dan Siroker and Pete Koomen, who joined Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008. It's online at www.optimizely.com .
