GfK has appointed Cheong Tai to lead its Asia Pacific business, while promoting Margret Schuit to oversee activities in Southern Europe. They will both report to CEO Peter Feld.Tai joins with more than fifteen years' international leadership experience gained in both emerging and developed markets. For the past six years, she worked for Nielsen as Regional President, responsible for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Singapore, setting up the firm's first Innovation Lab outside the US. Prior to this, she held various management roles at GE, helping it to create an integrated Asia-wide IT infrastructure.
Schuit joined GfK's Dutch organization in 2014 as Head of Consumer Experiences, and two years later was appointed MD. In this role, she merged the three separate business units into one. Earlier in her career, she held management positions at Ipsos and Beiersdorf, and she led a number of organizational transformation processes at Nielsen.
