Corporate engagement solutions firm ITA Group has acquired Boston-based market research and strategy firm Chadwick Martin Bailey (CMB), for an undisclosed sum.
ITA creates and manages events, incentives and recognition programs to help retain and motivate staff, under its 'Motivology' brand.
CMB was founded in 1984 by John Martin and Anne Bailey Berman, and has corporate headquarters in Boston, MA, serving clients in more than 30 countries. Revenue in 2016 was $US 18.8m, putting it at no.48 in the AMA Gold Top 50. It offers market identification and segmentation, brand health invigoration, loyalty and advocacy growth, and product and service development - as well as promising to 'rejuvenate tired trackers'. Methods include advanced analytics and consumer psychology, with a strong qualitative offering.
ITA says the buy - effective a month ago - allows it to 'recommend targeted market research that addresses increasingly complex business needs'.
Tom Mahoney, ITA Group Chairman and CEO, says client organizations 'want predictive analytics that allow them to capitalize on their existing assets and create new opportunities for growth'. He adds: 'This acquisition will give our clients and prospective clients the data-driven insights that can further drive their business'.
CMB Chief Exec Jim Garrity (pictured) comments: 'While ITA Group and CMB bring unique expertise and talents to this partnership, we are committed to the same goal: delivering best-in-class data-driven solutions to our clients'. Co-founder and Chair Anne Bailey Berman (pictured) adds, 'I am confident combining our complementary expertise will strengthen our current offerings and carve out new opportunities in our respective industries'.
