In London, innovation insights and analytics provider Clarivate Analytics has hired Sam Burridge for a newly created role, Director of Strategy & Transformation in its Scientific & Academic Research group.The company uses analytics-based services and content to help clients quickly develop new ideas. Burridge (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience in the publishing sector, most recently as Managing Director of the Open Research Group at academic publishing company Springer Nature (where she has been replaced by former IFF MD Tim Britton). Prior to this, she was on the Macmillan Science & Education Board; MD of the humanities and social sciences publisher, Palgrave Macmillan; and she held several leadership roles across the group.
In her new role, Burridge is responsible for developing strategy for the division, for supporting innovation in data and analytics, establishing best practice for the incubation of new businesses and for talent attraction and retention. She reports to the new divisional CEO, Annette Thomas, who comments: 'Sam Burridge is a world-class transformation leader with a global reputation, who has proven herself able to lead well-established, global businesses, develop high-growth new ventures and lead change and transformation projects over and again. I am so pleased and proud that she is joining us to help power us through the next phase in the company's history'.
