Marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has announced that its digital marketing agency '&c' will be merged with its data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle in China under the new brand name Merkle &c.Launched in 2008 by Dentsu, &c's services include interactive marketing strategy, creative and design, media planning and buying, SEM, video marketing and e -commerce. Merkle China offers services such as CRM consulting, data management and analytics, marketing technology and loyalty programs. Dentsu Aegis says the combination will create a fully integrated offering, and &c's footprint and scale in China will accelerate Merkle's growth in the country, while Merkle's data and technology capabilities will enhance &c's offerings to its client base. Headquartered in Beijing with offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou, &c's nearly 300 employees will bring the total employee number to 800.
