IRI Names Leader for Media Center of Excellence

In the US, retail data giant IRI has appointed former comScore exec Paul Cannon as Head of Agency in its Media Center of Excellence.

Paul CannonIRI Media Solutions helps agencies 'plan, target, activate, measure and optimize' their advertiser clients' media investments. The firm's portfolio is built on an enterprise technology and analytics platform, providing access to a pool of more than 350 million frequent shopper cards, sales, causal and media viewing data.

In his new role, Cannon (pictured) is charged with growing IRI's exposure in the agency space. He joins from comScore, where he served as Sales Director/Agency, before which he was Director of Agency Sales for Simmons Research (sold by Experian to Symphony Technology Group). Before this, he worked for media software firm One Domain as Regional Manager of Agency/Advertiser/Radio Station Sales; for Arbitron/Scarborough (now Nielsen Audio) as Region Manager; for Marketing Resources Plus (acquired by Arbitron) as Regional Sales Manager; and for Nielsen Media Research as Product Manager.
