Greene to Lead Durables at InfoScout

January 25 2018

San Francisco-based purchase data and survey app firm InfoScout has appointed NPD Group veteran Peter Greene as Practice Director Consumer Durables - leading its expansion in the Home Improvement and Durables categories.

Peter GreeneInfoScout uses real-time data from more than 100 million brick-and-mortar and ecommerce receipts captured annually, via the USA's 'largest purchase panel'. In the past year this includes data from nearly five million shopping trips relevant for durables categories - including home improvement, mass, specialty, electronics and eCommerce. Shoppers also complete 'in-the-moment' app surveys to fill in details on purchase motivation.

Greene joins with more than twenty years of experience in building, restoring, and managing information service businesses at companies throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Most recently he worked on non-fraud based services at Appriss Retail, formerly The Retail Equation; and prior to this was SVP for Durables Strategies at Nielsen. In seventeen years with the NPD Group, he was President of the Home Division and then President of the Consumer Electronics Division from 2006 until 2010.

Brian Kay, Senior Sales Director, says Greene's extensive experience in Home Industry and research sciences brings 'an unmatched level of expertise' to the company and its clients. He adds: 'His deep experience in the sector places InfoScout, with the largest purchase panel in the US, in a great position to meet the needs of vendors and retailers within these categories'.
