In London, MR services company Smart Connect Research (SCR) has appointed former FieldGlobal MD Matthew Brown as Chief Operating Officer.Founded in 2016 by ex-Survey Sampling International (SSI) director Felipe Parker, SCR provides integrated MR data collection services for B2B, healthcare and international ad hoc and tracking programmes. Brown (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' call centre and operations management experience. Most recently, he worked for FieldGlobal as MD, Europe & North America; before which he was SSI's Global Director, Healthcare; Mrops UK MD; and he spent nearly a decade at SERMO, latterly as VP, Resource Management, leading a global operations team. Earlier, he was GfK's Fieldwork Manager - Healthcare; and he worked at ORC International; initially as an interviewer and latterly as Call Centre Project Manager.
In his new position, Brown is tasked with helping grow SCR's business globally. He will lead a team of healthcare specialists, develop the firm's global strategy in the sector, and take the lead in developing and delivering SCR's technology and innovation strategy. Commenting on the news, Parker said: 'We are building something innovative and powerful that will disrupt the data collection industry. By adding a senior healthcare expert to our team, we are further improving our offering to clients and enhancing our services, with the aim of delivering the best service levels and expertise within our industry'.
