Online community specialist C Space has promoted Kathryn Blanshard to Managing Director UK, starting on 1st April. The position was formerly held jointly by Phil Burgess and Felix Koch, who have both moved into global leadership roles.
Owned by Omnicom, C Space offers services including private online communities, in-person live events, visual storytelling, co-creation workshops and business consulting. Blanshard (pictured) began her career at Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, then joined innovation and co-creation consultancy Promise in 2010, prior to the firm's merger with Communispace and later name change to C Space. Most recently, she served as VP, Director of Partnerships EMEA, working with clients to help them use online communities, mobile ethnography and innovation workshops to make customer-focused decisions.
As part of the re-shuffle, Burgess will relocate to Boston, US and take up the newly created role of Chief People and Operations Officer for the Americas, focusing on building new capabilities to attract, develop and retain top talent. Meanwhile, Koch is being promoted to the UK-based position of Regional CEO, EMEA & APAC, leading the C Space business in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Charles Trevail, CEO of Omnicom's Interbrand Group and former C Space CEO, comments: 'I'm a big believer in developing our own talent, and I'm delighted that our growth is opening up opportunities for Felix, Phil and Kathryn. Having them take on more influence globally is great for our clients and C Space. These exciting changes and promotions build on C Space's momentum and growth. We are proud that our London team is helping to elevate C Space across the globe'.
