Stylish New Arrival for Flamingo

March 5 2018

Omnicom-owned insight and strategy agency Flamingo has hired sustainability specialist Stine Hedegaard as a Director in its specialist Style team.

Stine HedegaardShe brings more than sixteen years' experience in consumer insights and qual research, with clients across architecture, energy, media and the public sector. In the last nine years, she has worked as Development Director for the Danish Fashion Institute, Sustainability Researcher for retailer H&M - as part of a PhD programme - and as a Sustainability Consultant for fashion chain COS. She also teaches a course on fashion consumer insight at the London College of Fashion, and previously lectured in marketing research at Copenhagen Business School. She holds a PhD in organisation and management (CBS), MSc in Social Psychology (LSE) and an MSc in Psychology (University of Copenhagen), and is the author of a number of books.

In her new role, Hedegaard (pictured) says her aim is to help companies committed to sustainability to break down three barriers in particular: going beyond making incremental changes to create genuinely disruptive innovations; implementing and integrating sustainability across entire organisations, rather than just treating it as an add-on; and getting consumers to 'walk the talk' and adopt sustainable consumer behaviour.

Flamingo was founded in 1997 by Kirsty Fuller and Maggie Collier, and acquired by media and marketing holding group Omnicom a decade later for an estimated $18m. The much-awarded agency has recently been building its London senior team, led by new CEO Desirée Lopez.
