Meer Rejoins NPD to Lead Development of Analytics

In the US, former PwC exec David Meer has re-joined retail information provider The NPD Group as Senior Vice President, Analytics Solutions Research and Development.

David MeerMeer (pictured) joins after nearly eight years at strategy consulting specialist PwC Strategy&, where he served as North American Leader, Advanced Customer Analytics in the Insight and Marketing Analytics practice. Prior to this he was Chief Analytics Officer at WPP's agency Enfatico; a Partner at strategy consulting firm Marakon; Worldwide Chairman of the marketing analytics group at WPP's MindShare; and Senior Partner, Director of Branding Intelligence at JWT. Earlier, he spent seven years at NPD as Business Unit President, having previously held senior roles at the Daniel Yankelovich Group.

In his new role, Meer will be responsible for enhancing and evolving the strategy and roadmap for NPD's analytics capabilities, and collaborating with clients and NPD teams to develop new solutions. He will report to Brian Smith, EVP Analytic Solutions, who comments: 'David brings an exciting mix of analytic and strategic leadership skills, diverse experience in a range of industries, and strong expertise in our core analytics areas including segmentation, pricing strategy, marketing effectiveness, and new product innovation. We are delighted that he is returning to NPD to help us continue developing analytic solutions that drive impact for our clients'.
