Marieke van Echtelt has been appointed for the newly created role of Managing Director of full service agency DVJ Insights and its data collection agency Novio Research, in the Netherlands.
Founded in 1996 as a music research specialist, DVJ now offers a broader range of services, with an emphasis on branding, communications, media and shopper research. The company has its own panels in Europe, as well as virtual shopping and packaging research facility MediaLAB. For the past decade, van Echtelt worked at STER (the ad sales house responsible for the Dutch public broadcaster), latterly as Manager of Strategy and Innovation, in charge of a team of around eighteen staff.
In her new role, van Echtelt will oversee the management team responsible for growth strategy. Commenting on the appointment, DVJ Insights CEO Lucas Hulsebos said: 'The rapid growth of DVJ Insights and Novio Research demand more structure and organisation, as we continue our drive towards innovation and added value. The size of the company determines the need for a new position like this one. Marieke's arrival also coincides with our move to a larger office building. From our new work space, we're looking forward to the future and we are also very happy to have Marieke on board'.
