GfK has named Morten Boyer Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, alongside his existing role as Head of Digital Media Measurement in the APAC region. He succeeds Catherine Eddy, who held the MD position for the past three years.
Boyer (pictured) joined GfK in 2006, and in 2014 was named Head of Digital Measurement (APAC) - he has also served as Head of Media and Entertainment (APAC) for the past two years. During his time with the firm, he has launched new client solutions which combine consumer research with GfK's POS data and expertise, led GfK ANZ's entry into media measurement and headed up its successful bid for the RAM contract in Australia and New Zealand.
Eddy joined GfK ANZ in 2015 to merge the ad hoc research, retail and media measurement business divisions, and subsequently implemented a programme to create a customer-centric operating model, which has since been adopted globally. She began her career at Colmar Brunton, before joining Nielsen, where she worked for nine years and latterly served as MD of the Indonesian business, providing leadership to a dispersed workforce of more than 2000 staff. Her next career move has not been disclosed.
