Motista Expands Senior US Team

May 10 2018

In the US, predictive intelligence specialist Motista has hired long-time Arbitron exec Tom O'Sullivan as EVP of Sales, while Linda Vetter joins as Vice President of Marketing.

Tom O'Sullivan and Linda VetterSince its launch in 2007, San Francisco-based Motista has compiled an 'Emotional Connection Database' from several million customers, detailing their emotional connection to nearly 1,000 brands across dozens of B2C and B2B industries. Combining the social sciences of anthropology and psychology with this mass of data, the firm then applies statistical models to determine the precise emotions most likely to be driving customer behavior.

O'Sullivan joins the firm's recently opened New York office with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience. Most recently, he served as SVP of Global Business Development at attribution modeling specialist Analytic Partners, before which he held senior leadership positions at Realitymine and Symphony Advanced Media, and he spent sixteen years at Arbitron (now part of Nielsen). In his new role, O'Sullivan will be responsible for managing and developing a team of sales professionals, helping establish new client relationships with brand leaders, and driving top-line revenue growth.

Vetter has nearly twenty years' B2B marketing experience, having spent the previous seven at Yes Lifecycle Marketing, before which she was Senior Marketing Manager at Experian and Director, Brand and Field Marketing at Alterian, where she worked for a decade. Company President Michael Mathias comments: 'In addition to recently increasing the organization by more than 50% to enhance the support of our current client base, these key hires will accelerate efforts as we escalate our reach in market'.
