US-based web personalization platform Persosa has closed an oversubscribed funding round of $550k, which it will use to further develop its platform and expand its Customer Success, Engineering and Sales teams.Persosa's Experience Management System allows brands to serve their customers personalized on-site experiences through e-mail and retargeting campaigns. The product installs with a single line of tracking code, eliminating the need for engineering support, and allowing companies to publish and test personalized variations quickly.
New funding was led by Todd Davis, founder of personal fraud protection company LifeLock (acquired by cybersecurity software and services firm Symantec for $2.3 bn), and comprised mostly of angel investors. Davis comments: 'Persosa has several key advantages that I believe will disrupt the web optimization space and help transform web sites into a fully integrated marketing channel. With the benefit of a one-line installation, a world class leadership team, and a proven track record of recent client success, I have an immense amount of confidence in the team'.
