US-based customer intelligence platform InMoment has acquired Australia-based CX consulting firm brandXP, aiming to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
InMoment was formed four years ago from the merger of US firm Mindshare Technologies and Canadian company Empathica; and last year appointed a new CEO, Andrew Joiner (pictured) to replace founder John Sperry - the latter moved to a Chairman's role with a focus on innovation. The business gives clients customer insights based on analysis of unstructured data such as customer comments; provides DIY survey tools to collect this data via voice, text and video; and allows them to combine survey responses with social media, marketing and transactional data.
Terms of the latest deal were undisclosed, according to The Australian Financial Review (www.afr.com ), but InMoment will set up an office in Melbourne and New Zealand and strengthen its investment in Australia - this is the first time it will have a dedicated team in the region. Asia Pacific VP Claire Fastier told the publication brandXP was 'a strong cultural fit for InMoment', adding: 'They will really help us develop local customer experience expertise and they are strong in delivery, service and support, having operated for the last 15 years'.
The company is on the web at www.inmoment.com .
