New CEO for Fast-Growing UserTesting

Enterprise-grade customer insights and targeting platform UserTesting has appointed Andy MacMillan as CEO, replacing co-founder Darrell Benatar who moves to the role of Executive Chairman.

UserTesting's 'on-demand human insights' platform allows non-specialist users across a company to create personalised experiences and deliver them to their target audiences. The firm boasts more than 35,000 customers and is headquartered in Mountain View, CA. Last autumn it launched a self-service solution called My Recruit, allowing firms to run studies on web or mobile sites with their own customers, partners, employees, or a niche demographic.

Revenue and customer platform usage have both doubled in the last two years, while 60% of its customer base increased the scope of their engagement.

MacMillan (pictured), who takes up a seat on the Board of Directors, brings twenty years of enterprise SaaS experience, including work as a Senior Product Executive at Oracle and Product Group COO at Salesforce. Most recently, he was CEO of Act-On Software, helping to transform the product portfolio and drive a customer-centric business strategy.
