Basis Research, which is headquartered in London and already has a presence in LA, has added a second US office, in New York, and has recruited Scott Kressner, former Managing Partner of Hall & Partners Health in the US, to open a global healthcare practice.
Founded in 1990, Basis delivers bespoke ad hoc and tracking solutions for clients across sectors including media & entertainment, retail, financial services, FMCG and fashion, promising to help them make sense of 'both big and thick data'.
Kressner joins as Managing Partner, and will begin by helping the company to grow its US business with a focus on healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech and med-tech device companies. He brings sixteen years of experience in the healthcare and insights space - the first two as a Senior Analyst at what is now Kantar Health, and subsequently rising from Research Director to Managing Partner in a fourteen-year stay at Hall & Partners.
The LA office was opened two years ago and was also launched with the appointment of a former Hall & Partners exec, Kate Hartzell.
Basis MD Rune Mortensen, Managing Director of Basis says, 'Basis has consistently grown in new markets and sectors by concentrating on what we are good at: providing clients with bespoke solutions and intelligent insights, delivered through beautiful and engaging deliverables. This latest move continues that trend, and in Scott we have found someone who is both a perfect fit for Basis and an expert in the healthcare space.'
