Ad tech firm RhythmOne has appointed Mark Bonney as President, CEO and an Executive Director of the Board, following the resignation of Ted Hastings.Hastings took on the role a year ago, after RhythmOne's acquisition of social media ad targeting firm RadiumOne and the departure of the latter firm's Global President Kerry McCabe. The acquisition gave RhythmOne access to consumer insights, audience segmentation and targeting technology, along with a presence in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Hastings resigned to 'pursue entrepreneurial opportunities', and has been replaced by Bonney (pictured), who joins with more than 35 years of experience as a senior executive officer. Most recently, Bonney served as President and CEO of comms equipment and services provider MRV Communications, having earlier worked for On Board Advisors LLC as President and CEO. Before this he worked in a variety of executive positions in different companies, including President and COO, VP of Operations, and CFO, and he spent fourteen years at Black and Decker.
Eric Singer, Chairman of the Board commented: 'We appreciate Ted's service to the company and his leadership over the past year. As we focus on the integration efforts of the combined enterprise, we are excited about the new leadership and the direction we believe Mark will take RhythmOne. His extensive experience leading public companies through integrations and other transformative events will be invaluable as we continue to execute against our financial plan and evaluate strategic acquisitions to accelerate growth and profitability with the goal of maximizing shareholder value'.
