Retail and competitive intelligence firms The NPD Group and Market Track have announced a partnership, combining price and promotion data from both firms to create new solutions for optimising clients' product and channel strategy.Market Track, which is owned by Vista Equity Partners, manages proprietary data streams to provide omnichannel market intelligence via a web interface, and has more than 2,100 clients. The firm's 'comprehensive' promotional data will be blended with NPD's Price and Promotion Management Tool, its POS data and industry expertise, to help users measure the effectiveness of past promotions and optimize ROI in the future.
