In the UK, animal health and agricultural research specialist Kynetec has appointed farming sector tech and information veteran Robert Bakewell as Senior Director of Real Time Trackers.Bakewell will be based in Weston, and will focus on supporting the delivery of AgriInsight and VetTrak while leading new product development efforts in the UK, managing both the UK Agriculture and Animal Health teams.
In more than thirty years in the agribusiness and technology sectors, he has held leadership positions with farming sector insight firm Map of Ag, where he briefly led the digital products division; Boehringer-Ingelheim, where he helped grow an innovative cattle vaccine from the smallest brand in the market to the market leader in less than 2 years; DBT Limited, now Proagrica, where he spent nearly eight years, serving as MD; ISK Biosciences; and Dow AgroSciences. He also co-founded mobile data capture business DevelopIQ in 2005, selling it to Anoto AB in 2013.
