Toluna's KuRunData Debuts WeChat Mobile Survey App

Online community and survey tech provider Toluna has expanded its mobile panel and respondent access in China with the launch by sister company KuRunData of a mobile survey applet using the WeChat platform.

Acquired by Toluna's parent company ITWP earlier this year, Shanghai-based KuRunData provides online research services and mobile panels with more than five million registered members, combined with a survey platform to access insights from the Chinese market. The new applet has been launched on the back of the popular WeChat app, which offers more than one billion users access to messaging, social media and mobile payment capabilities within one platform. KuRunData says building the app around WeChat allows it to provide respondent access beyond its panel, combined with a survey platform to deliver access to consumer insights solutions.
