Edinburgh-based research and consulting company Wood Mackenzie (WoodMac) has launched a platform called Lens, offering its clients in natural resources markets access to new analysis and data modelling options for 'every major commodity'.
The platform promises 'fresh new design, cutting-edge cloud technology and open-source solutions', and taps the firm's industry experts, creative product designers and engineers. WoodMac, which is part of Verisk Analytics, says Lens will not only host its own data but also clients' in-house data and that from 'any other source in the complex worlds of oil, gas, chemicals, metals, mining, power and renewables'.
Lens will launch next month with data covering wells in the Lower 48 US states, with plans to quickly pull in data from every commodity tracked by WoodMac, which is online at www.woodmac.com .
