GfK Hires Global Retail Strategy Leader

In Germany, GfK has hired Olivier-Thomas 'OT' Wade for the newly created role of Vice President Global Retail Management, responsible for developing global strategy in the sector. He takes up the new position on Monday.

Olivier-Thomas 'OT' WadeWade (pictured) will join after nearly six years at retailer METRO Cash & Carry, most recently as Global Director Category Management & Procurement. Prior to this he held category management positions at Nomad Foods Europe and Danone Baby Nutrition, and earlier he worked in various marketing roles at Kimberley Clark and Marks, having begun his career at Procter & Gamble.

At GfK, Wade will report directly to Chief Customer Officer Christian Erlandson, who comments: 'While transforming our company from a traditional market research organization into a data and analytics partner, retail remains one of our focus areas. Thus, Olivier-Thomas Wade is a very important addition to our team. He is a renowned expert in the development of global strategies and their local implementation and has a successful track record on both retailer and supplier side. Paired with his excellent leadership skills, this makes him the ideal candidate for the job. I am convinced that he will take our retail business to the next level'.
