San Francisco-based media monitoring firm Meltwater has promoted David Hickey to Director of Strategy for the APAC region, and Cimon Constantine to Hickey's old job leading its Australian and New Zealand operations.
Media news site www.mumbrella.com.au says Meltwater won the combined NSW contract for media monitoring, worth c.$AUD 9m, in July, and has also added the likes of American Express, GSK and Singapore Airlines as clients.
Constantine joined Meltwater from events company Terrapinn in 2012 as a social media consultant and was promoted to MD in 2015. Hickey joined the company just over ten years ago as a Sales Consultant.
In the spring, the company made two acquisitions of social media analytics firms; North American firm Sysomos and London-based DataSift
Hickey says the Meltwater ANZ team has grown rapidly to support 'an influx of enterprise brands'. He comments: 'In the last financial year, we've grown the team by 33 per cent and in the last six years, a massive 638 per cent. We've invested in our staff to support rapid client growth and investments in multiple new dedicated teams, such as client experience and an onboarding team, to help develop positive client engagement and reduce account churn from the get-go'.
