In the US, pharmaceutical services firm Two Labs has acquired Pennside Partners, which provides market insights, benchmarking and competitive intelligence services for the pharma, biotech and medical device sectors. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Pennside is headquartered in Wyomissing, PA, with additional offices in Manchester, UK and Zurich, Switzerland, and was founded in 1990 by Michael Rhoads and Tom Penrice. Its team includes an in-house staff of MDs, pharmacists, nurses, scientists, and senior marketing and sales professionals who help clients with competitive intelligence monitoring, pipeline analysis, launch support and best practices benchmarking, customer-facing and new commercial models, and licensing and acquisition support. The company also provides outsourced business intelligence and fixed-term contractors.
Two Labs says the joint expertise of the companies will allow for better support services throughout the product lifecycle - from pre-launch through loss of exclusivity. Penrice (pictured) comments: 'Through this partnership, Pennside now has the opportunity to expand our capabilities and better leverage our existing resources to a broader network of emerging manufacturers. I am looking forward to this next phase of our business that will enable us to offer a wider and deeper suite of services to our clients'.
