In the UK, Kantar Public has appointed former EY director Craig Watkins as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Grant Fitzner who is now Chief Economist at the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Set up in 2016, Kantar Public pools expertise from around the group to offer advice on the delivery of public policy, services and communications. Watkins (pictured) joins from EY's UK Government and Public Sector practice, where he served as Director, UK Business Development Lead. Prior to this he was Director of Finance & Planning at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ); Director of Corporate Services and CFO at the Youth Justice Board; and Director of Business Development, Finance Services at the Metropolitan Police Service, where he spent six years in a variety of roles. He will take up his new role in February.
Commenting on the appointment, Michelle Harrison, Global CEO of Kantar Public, said: 'We couldn't be more pleased to have Craig join us to lead our UK business and join our global leadership team. His passion for working in the public realm, together with his consulting background, makes him the ideal partner to our clients and leader for our team. He joins us during an exciting time of change and innovation in our business, as we complete our first two years as Kantar Public'.
