On-demand research platform UserTesting has promoted Janelle Estes to the newly created role of Chief Insights Officer.
San Francisco-based UserTesting offers a platform through which participants record their screen activity and voice as they use a web site, providing feedback on issues such as why they're not buying a particular product or service. Estes (pictured) joined the firm more than four years ago as Senior Director, Research Strategy and most recently served as Vice President, Strategic Research Services. Earlier, she worked for the user experience firm Nielsen Norman Group as Senior UX Consultant, having begun her career at Forrester Research as Customer Experience Research Associate.
In her new role, Estes will work closely with clients to identify the trends and best practices that are shaping the industry, and translate them into opportunities to develop the company's Human Insight platform. CEO Andy MacMillan comments: 'I'm excited to have Janelle step into the role of Chief Insights Officer to help us steward the future of Human Insight and enable us to further define the value customer empathy brings to a business - from revenue and retention through lifetime value'.
