Dentsu Aegis Buys Data-Driven Agency DEG

In the US, Dentsu Aegis Network is to acquire full service data-driven digital marketing agency Digital Evolution Group (DEG) for an undisclosed sum.

Neil SharmaKansas-based DEG, which also has offices in Denver, Pittsburgh and Des Moines, has an Analytics and Insight team which visualizes analytical information and develops insights from that data to understand customer journeys across multiple touchpoints. It also offers web site testing and analytics, predictive modelling, behavioral data mining and market basket analysis. These services form the basis for a suite of marketing and technology solutions that enable brands to implement and integrate eCommerce platforms with digital marketing strategy and campaigns.

Following the acquisition, DEG will join Dentsu Aegis Network's digital marketing agency Isobar and be renamed 'DEG, Linked by Isobar'. DEG CEO and co-founder Neal Sharma (pictured) will continue to lead the agency and his management team will remain unchanged. Commenting on the deal, Sharma said: 'Dentsu Aegis Network and Isobar's vision for how our industry is evolving is spot-on, and combining global scale, people-based insights, and proven innovation with our existing capabilities and talents will provide an unparalleled caliber of service across the customer journey'.
