London-based marketing personalisation specialist DataSine has raised £4m ($5.2m) in a Series A round of funding. The investment will be used to expand and roll out its Pomegranate SaaS marketing platform, through which brands can personalise their content for different audiences.DataSine uses machine learning to understand individual customer preferences. Pomegranate users can understand their customers and tailor their content to each individual with the help of psychology and AI. An online survey panel is used to analyse the appeal of clients' communications, and the firm has put together a dedicated team of data scientists and psychologists to support the tool.
New funding was led by Edinburgh-based venture capital tech fund Pentech and San Francisco-based Propel Venture Partners, with participation from C.Entrepreneurs/Cathay Innovation, Twin Ventures and Sistema_VC. DataSine founder and CEO Igor Volzhanin (pictured) comments: 'With this round of funding, we are now in a great position to deliver on our mission to empower companies to treat their customers like individuals'.
