In the US, fieldwork and research services business Schlesinger Group, has acquired data collection firm Baltimore Research.
Based in the Maryland city, the firm offers access to five focus group spaces and an experienced project management and recruitment team with services including depth interviews, consumer surveys, ethnography, usability tests and mock trials. As part of the deal, the firm's MD Ted Donnelly and Director of Operations Heather Ashley-Collins have both been appointed Vice President, Client Solutions. In a statement, the pair said that the firm's clients will benefit from the combination of the Baltimore Research team with Schlesinger Group's qual and quant data collection reach, resources and facilities.
Commenting on the news, CEO Steve Schlesinger said: 'The synergy between our companies, in terms of a client-centric approach, high-quality research services, and shared core values and culture, was a fundamental driver in this decision.
