London-based agency Basis has appointed former Hall & Partners Health CEO Soumya Roy as Chief Executive of its rapidly-growing New York office.
The independent insight consultancy has offices in LA and New York, relaunched and launched last year respectively, and provides bespoke ad hoc and tracking solutions for clients across a wide range of sectors.
Roy brings twenty years of experience in insights-led strategy in health and consumer, most recently from Hall & Partners where he was appointed CEO of Health and NY in May 2017, leading it through a revenue increase of more than 100 percent. Before joining Hall & Partners in 2010 he spent five years at LRW, and held senior roles at Gallup and Maritz Research.
In his new role, Roy will lead Basis NY's strategic expansion, report to UK-based Group CEO Rune Mortensen and work closely with Managing Partner Scott Kressner, also a former Hall & Partners exec.
Mortensen comments: 'We are delighted that Soumya is joining our rapidly growing team in New York. In an increasingly complex world with more and more data, we believe there is a need for bright, creative people to cut through the clutter and develop clear narratives, provide genuine insights, and ultimately inspire action. In Soumya we have found someone who shares our values and has a proven track record of delivering inspirational work'.
