Nielsen has launched a local TV measurement service for OTT and streaming apps, delivered through connected TV devices, apps and / or web sites, and viewed on the TV screen.The new capability includes feeds that Nielsen says have unique, streamed content that is not available on the station's over-the-air channels or direct-to-cable station feeds. According to the company, by capturing local audiences across both streaming apps and linear television, broadcasters will have a more complete picture of their unique audiences, regardless of platform.
